Topic 1: Expanding ACE Members

Topic 2: ACE Response to "Dramatic Flexibility"
- Reach out directly to SLO County principals (via principals meeting) and let them know we are a resource
- Develop resource list with info on what each arts organization does/can provide for students
*Come up with above description of your arts organization

Topic 3: 4x4 Workshops
Symphony Children's Concert
- Workshop set for Friday afternoon
- Develop description of workshop and invitations (Andrea, possible help from Mel)
- Send out invitations in January
Art Center
- Workshop set for Friday, April 3rd in afternoon
- Show theme features artists working through their disabilities
- Gordon to possibly speak about curatorial responsibilities
- Reach out to special ed teahcers

November 18, 2008 Meeting

Topic 1: Developing ACE Goals
- 4x4 workshop (do one and evaluate it!)
- Enlarge Membership
- Work on developing blog/website to broadcast resources/arts opportunities
- Provide speaker & forum to energize arts ed community
- Present "State of the Arts" every year to learn about school culture
- Help coordinate County Office of Ed VAPA Meeting for Elementary
*Continue developing goals (possibly mission statement?)

Topic 2: Enlarging ACE Membership
- Suggested new members - Prudy Lovtang, Mikele Hushing-Kline, Wendy Eidson, Susan Greenaway, Val Bluett, Karen Garmen, Erik Austin, Lissa Beck
*Contacting new members (everyone contacts the people they proposed)

Topic 1: Preparing for the first 4x4 workshop
- Confirm February date with Andrea (Melody)
- Coordinate a meeting of the players to discuss workshop details
-(Melody will call Andrea)
-(Deb will contact CCP artists for potential theatre & dance experts)
*This meeting is set for Tuesday, November 18th @ 10am after ACE meeting
- Find out about constraints for professional development credit (Deb)

Topic 2: Initial ideas for ACE mission statement/goals
- Bring arts into the schools through
-4x4 professional development training of teachers
-making teachers aware of community arts resources
-bringing community arts resources directly to classrooms
*Come up with 2 additional ideas for potential goals (everyone)

Topic 3: Expanding ACE members & contacts
- Contact Drew Silvaggio (Sara)
- Contact Kathy Schultz (Deb)
- Idea to have a quarterly forum for local arts groups; set goals for different art forms
*Come up with 4 names of local arts groups (everyone)

Topic 4: County Meeting for Elementary
